Spelling and Grammar:

You may choose a passage from the reading that you think is important and use it as your copywork, or you can use the selection below.

"This was one of the main reasons why Kyle thought everything that came out of Mr. Lemoncello’s Imagination Factory — board games, puzzles, video games — was amazingly awesome. For Mr. Lemoncello, a game just wasn’t a game if it wasn’t a little goofy around the edges."

  • Write it in neatly your journal.
  • Be careful to punctuate and capitalize the way the author did and watch for spelling. If you make any errors, correct them.
  • Study this passage this week until you are asked to dictate it to your teacher.
  • Why is this quote important? It tells us about Kyle’s obsession with Lemoncello’s games. The fun is not just in the game itself but also in the odd clues that Lemoncello hides in the games.
  • This month, our grammar will be about writing dialogue. Watch the video below about dialogue and watch for dialogue in your reading this week.
