Nature Journal Resources

We will go on outside adventures during this book club. You will need a nature journal. This can be a nature journal you own, a drawing pad, or a regular notebook.

We recommend our Nature Journal, which is designed to help students observe the world around them. You can purchase it in our shop by clicking on the picture below.

Resources Needed for the Magic Dust Projects:

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project 1, Build a Beehouse

• Empty, clean, tin can
• Scrap paper
• Pencil
• Tape
• Toilet paper rolls
• Glue
• Scissors

Project 2, Pollinator Pit Stop

• Flower pot saucer
• Pebbles and rocks
• Water

Project 3, Plant a Pollinator Garden

• Plastic swimming pool or area to plant flowers
• Potting soil and compost
• Bright-colored plants (we learned pollinators like yellow and purple)
• Wooden paint stirrers
• Paint
• Paint brushes
• Help from parents to drill holes in the bottom of the swimming pool
