Project Supplies

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.
Project One, Birchbark tree painting, Supply List:
- Watercolor paper
- Painter's or Masking Tape
- Watercolors and brush
- Salt
Project Two, Maple Sugar Candy, Supply List:
- 3 Cups of Pure Maple Syrup
- 4 drops of vegetable or olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of butter
- Heavy bottomed pot
- Candy thermometer
- Silicone or metal molds
- Non-stick spray if you use metal molds or detailed silicone molds
- Wooden spoon
Project Three, Learn to Play Chess, Supply List:
- Chess board and pieces

Project Four, Native American Style Necklace, Supply List:
- Sharpie
- Poster Board
- Felt
- Scissors
- Needle
- Thread
- Pliers
- Awl
- Beads
- Feathers
- Crimp End Cap
- Jump Rings
- Suede String
- Fabric Glue
- OR you could purchase a jewelry making kit that has many of these items included.
Project Five, Dance Like an Ojibwa, Supply List:
- No supplies needed
Project Six, Acorn Bread, Supply List:
- 5-6 Cups Acorns, without caps and shelled
- Water
- Blender
- Nut Milk Bag
- Cookie Sheet
- Sieve
- Wooden Spoon
For the Bread:
- 1 cup of water (240mL)
- 1/3 cup of white granulated sugar (45g)
- 2 tsp. of honey (14g)
- 1 tsp. of salt (5g)
- 1/2 cup of acorn flour (75g)
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups of bread flour or all-purpose (300 to 360g)
- 2 Tbsp. of oil (vegetable, olive, coconut, etc.) (30mL)
- 2 1/4 tsp. of active dry yeast (11g)
Project Seven, Plant a Pumpkin, Supply List:
- Pumpkin seeds (pick your favorite)
- Garden area without lots of sunshine
- Shovel or garden hoe
- Spade
