Nature Journal Resources

We will go on outside adventures during this book club. You will need a nature journal. This can be a nature journal you own, a drawing pad, or a regular notebook.

We recommend our Nature Journal, which is designed to help students observe the world around them. You can purchase it in our shop by clicking on the picture below.

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project 1, Build A Mouse Maze

Scissors
Poster board
Set of magnets
Yellow and gray or black felt
Permanent marker

Project 2, Stick Fox

Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
Mini Popsicle Sticks
Mini Clothespins
Low Temp Glue Gun
Orange and Brown Craft Paint
Small Paint Brushes
Whatever you would like for the fox to hold (Pumpkin, Plastic Leaves, Heart, etc)
Brown & White Cardstock Paper
Scissors
Black Sharpie Marker
Small Brown Pom Pom

Project 3, Leafy Owl

An outline of an owl or a template. We found a few cute options HERE.
Twig
Cardboard
Leaves, nuts, berries, feathers, or other items you found on your nature walk.
Markers or crayons
Google eyes
Glue

Project 4, Salt Dough Snakes

2 cups flour
1 cup salt
3/4 cup water
1 T oil
Various colors of paint
Paintbrushes in various sizes
