Nature Journal Resources

We will go on outside adventures during this book club. You will need a nature journal. This can be a nature journal you own, a drawing pad, or a regular notebook.

Resources Needed for the Magic Dust Projects:

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project 1, Launch a Rocket:

Long party balloons
Clear tape
6 – 8 yards of fishing line
Scissors
1 clothespin

Project 2, Make Craters on Mars:

Cake pan
Flour
Cake sprinkles
Cocoa
Sifter
A few small rocks of different sizes

Project 3, Make Seed Bombs!:

Crayola Air-Dry Clay and Potting Soil OR Seed Bomb Matrix
Water
Wildflower Seeds

Project 4, Solar Oven

Pizza Box
Skewer
Foil
Tape
Ruler
Plastic Wrap
Black Paper
Box Cutter or Knife
Aluminum Pan
Food to bake: *Optional: Graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate
