You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project One, Baking Cornbread:

• 3 cups self-rising cornmeal
• 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp salt
• 2-3 Tbsp oil or butter

Project Two, Get into Nature:

• A wooded area
• The activity sheet from this site
• Pencil

Project Three, Make Some Butter:

• Heavy cream (at room temperature)
• Jar with a lid
• Cold water
• Optional: 1 tsp salt

Project Four, Make a Map:

• Pencil, markers, crayons, or colored pencils
• OR different-colored clay to show the mountains, valleys, and rivers in the area
• Poster/foam board or Copy paper
