You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting.

Project 1,Tree Breathing Experiment:

• Small containers of similar size (we used mason jars)
• Several types of leaves (we used leaves from three trees and two bushes)
• Timer

Project 2, Hibernation Experiments:

Frozen Food activity:

• Small fruit, like grapes
• Ice tray or something to make ice
• Water

Conserving Energy activity:

• A place to run and jump
• Stopwatch

Project 3, Make a Bird Feeder

Hanging Suet Feeders:

• 1 cup lard
• 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• 1 cup oats
• 1 cup honey
• 2 eggs
• mixing bowl and spoon
• cookie cutters
• non-stick spray
• parchment paper
• baking sheet
• pencil or toothpick
• yarn
• scissors

Project 4, Build a Snowman

• Shaving Cream
• Baking Soda
• White Vinegar
• A Big Tray
• Lumps of Coal (or maybe some buttons or even coffee beans)
• Carrot
