Today we're going to go outside to our backyard and make a map.

For this project, you will need:

• Nature Journal or Sketchpad
• Colored Pencils

Directions:

1. Head to your backyard and sit down in a place where you can see almost everything. If you do not have a backyard find a place in nature that can be used as your outdoor classroom.
2. Use your senses to talk about what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste in your backyard.
3. Draw a map of your backyard on the student workbook page below.
