Project Supplies

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project 1, Stargazing

  • A clear night sky
  • The constellation worksheet in the Lesson Plans and Printable Resources lecture.
  • A blanket or lawn chair to lie on
  • Telescope (optional)
  • A flashlight with a red filter (optional, for reading your worksheet in the dark)

Project 2, Baking

  • 1 1/4 cup (250g) granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup (80g) sour cream (or plain yogurt/Greek yogurt), at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup (160ml) whole milk, at room temperature
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Project 3, Dress Your Stuffie

  • An old sock
  • Scissors
  • Stuffed animal or doll

Project 4, Learn to play Harmonica

  • A harmonica

Project 5, Make a Marionette Puppet
